Wild Ivy comprises two buildings: a 10-bedroom comfortable vivienda house and a charming independent townhouse in the historic centre of Vélez-Blanco, just a 10-minute walk away from each other. The main 10-bedroom house overlooks the valley and can host up to 15 guests, with one unit dedicated year-round to Integral Buddhist practitioners. The second home, known as Rainbow Cave, features 3 cozy bedrooms with unique character and spectacular terrace views. You can book a room up to 30 days from today; for more advanced stays, please use contact from or write us on wild.ivy@posteo.net. One off per room cleaning fee (€50) paid in cash upon arrival applies to all bookings.

Solo Hilltop Retreat House

Historical terraced 4-B townhouse featuring classic Andalusian architecture, caved-in earthy interior and stunning views, set in the heart of the village on a pedestrian walkway. Rainbow Cave is quiet and secluded, yet central and accessible, with fibre wifi and great views.

Sunrise Facing Rooms

Three bright, east-facing rooms open to balconies with views of the Sierra María–Los Vélez mountains. Each reflects a quality — stillness, open view, and clarity — and is ideal for morning practice and quiet contemplation.

Teacher’s En Suite Room

Tiger’s Nest

A spacious, luxuriant, sunrise-facing suite named after the sacred Tiger’s Nest monastery. This room includes a private balcony with mountain views, en suite bath with large tub and shower, and an atmosphere both elevated and serene — reserved for the retreat teacher or facilitator.

Single (Monk) Rooms

Quiet, minimalist spaces for short retreat or voluntary simplicity. These single rooms are designed for introspection and containment, each named after a classic image — the luminous sphere, the embodied field, and the Zen's famous gateless gate.

Licenced Accommodation

Wild Ivy and Rainbow Cave are proudly registered as Viviendas de Uso Turístico (homestay) under Andalusian licensing regulations. As such, these homes offer self-catered accommodation with shared access to common areas, including the kitchen, coffee & tea station, library, patio and front-yard outdoor sitting. Please note that meals and daily bedroom service are not provided. We kindly ask guests to leave the house in a clean and respectful condition upon departure. Your host is always happy to assist with local recommendations—from authentic restaurants to cultural highlights and nature-based activities in the area. There is a one off clean fee of €50 for our caretaker who prepares the place before and after.
